At Howarth Windows & Doors we are very much aware that, as timber manufacturers, we are working with one of the worlds most valuable renewable resources.
Continuous support for the environment is a prime concern to us, which is why we ensure all of the timber used in our windows and door sets, as well as any other wood fibre-based products, is obtained from well managed sustainable sources. We achieved full chain of custody status during 2006
Reinforcing our focus on the environment we are members of the Timber Trade Federation, and subscribe to the industry's main initiatives: Forests Forever and Wood for Good.
NEW FOR 2011
Working with external assessors Certified International Systems, Howarth Windows & Doors has now been approved to ISO 14001, the recognised British Standard for environmental management.
The certification means that Howarth Windows & Doors has been audited on its performance and has committed to proactively monitor its impact on the environment, as well increasing recycling and improving manufacturing processes so that less waste is generated.
