Main duties and responsibilities
• Regular and accurate maintenance of the product catalogue.
• Product and pricing maintenance routines.
• Search engine optimisation.
• Customer service support and administration to include customer liaison and supplier management.
• Ensuring all administration paperwork is managed in accordance with published procedures.

Essential skills and qualifications
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Methodical approach to duties.
• Understanding of SEO and copy writing.
• Able to communicate articulately, positively and effectively.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and and ancillary products.

Job Title: Assistant Contracts Office Manager – Howarth Timber & Building Supplies Limited

The Role

A new exciting opportunity has arisen within the company for the position of Assistant Contracts Office Manager.

We have identified a sales opportunity to grow our direct sales with national and regional house builders plus organically-grown contractor sales via the new contracts office.

The office will operate with a staffing level of two and is budgeted to achieve a sales turnover of around £1.2 million for 2014/2015.

The ideal candidate will need to be a good communicator and have excellent IT skills. They will also require good product knowledge, excellent sales ability and margin awareness, in order to take the department forwards and maximise profitability.

The Role
Due to retirement we have a vacancy for the above role which involves working on customer site attending to customer care issues on timber windows and doors. Candidates must be time-served qualified joiners and whilst a working knowledge of timber windows would be advantageous full training will be given. Applicants must possess a full driving licence and be prepared to work away from home several nights per week. The role involves meeting and dealing with customers on sites under construction and in occupied properties.

Job Title: Group HR Manager

The Candidate
• The right candidate will be most likely be a CIPD qualified, commercially focussed generalist HR Manager. You will be experienced in working within medium sized businesses, and fast paced and challenging environments.

• You will be a self-starter, and someone who is decisive, proactive and with good communication skills. There is a requirement that you have good IT skills, with a good understanding of MS Office programs. 

• The position will report into the Group Managing Director, and will be part of the senior management team.

You will be responsible for:
• Providing advice, direction, and working with senior management to ensure legal and procedural compliance, on such issues as: employment law, discipline, grievance, appraisal, counselling, business restructuring, remuneration policy, HR administration, and employee communication programs.  

• Where required you will prepare and present cases for Industrial Tribunals and pre-hearings, consulting with ACAS and the company solicitors.  

• Providing advice and guidance on HR policy development, and manpower planning. Specifically this will include:  

o Maintaining all Group policies and procedures, and staff documentation current with changing legislative requirements.

o Working with line managers to ensure that their business units have the right and correctly skilled people to meet their strategic and operational business plans. 

• You will take a leading role in working alongside qualified colleagues to deliver: 

o Health and Safety and Environment Health policies. The implementation of these policies to ensure compliance with both enforcing bodies and our insurers.  

o The development and delivery of training plans and systems, which meet business development needs. In particular:  

-  The training and development of line managers in the implementation of Group HR policies and procedures within their teams.  

-  To complete the implementation, so as to achieve the optimal business outcomes and benefits from the operation of a Cascade/Egress T & A and HR system.
