THE FINAL CHARITY GOLF DAY OF THE SUMMER
2 August 2011
The final Howarth Timber charity golf day of the summer took place at The Manchester Golf Club last Thursday. The event was the largest to date, with 21 teams and 84 players participating, including a number of junior players from the club who certainly gave their elders a run for their money!
The final trophy, in memory of David Street, our much missed Ashton branch manager, was awarded to J. Keenan who totalled 40 points. The winning team on the day was Number 13, with a score of 124.
The event raised an impressive £1021.17 for Howarth’s nominated charity When You Wish Upon a Star, the grand total over the three golf days was £2636.25.
Huge thanks to everyone who came along and supported us - we couldn’t have achieved this without you!
