HOWARTH WINS TOP AWARD FOR NEW WEBSITE
29 September 2011
Howarth Timber Group’s recently launched website has just been named the best in the business by the timber industry’s leading trade magazine.
In a prestigious event at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms Howarth Timber has been declared winner of Website of the Year category in the Timber Trades Journal Awards for 2011, beating off several other entries from competitors in the construction sector.
The award was judged independently by industry experts, and presented to Howarth Timber’s Neale Brewster by TV property expert Sarah Beeny.
“This really is the accolade we wanted,” said Mr Brewster. “Our industry has judged us and recognised that we have an impressive presence on the internet.”
Commenting on the award, the TTJ’s judging panel remarked that:
‘The Howarth Timber Group is a perfect example of a company embracing the web to effectively promote its brand, services and products. Dispensing with the unnecessary bells, whistles and gimmicks that are now possible with newer web technologies the site content is refreshingly informative, focusing upon quality content, resulting in a solid, professional corporate image desired by the timber group. A deserving winner.’
“Our web development team has worked extremely hard, and their efforts have now been rewarded in the best possible way,” added Mr Brewster.
With 28 branches through the UK, Howarth Timber & Building Supplies is part The Howarth Timber Group, the UK’s largest privately-owned timber business.
