To allow the builder to maintain consistency and quality when specifying Howarth Windows & Doors products, a range of co-ordinating door and entrance frames is also available.
With today’s crime figures, security is a major factor when specifying window and door frame manufacturers, which is why Howarth Windows & Doors are dedicated to improving security features.
All Howarth door and entrance frames have an 18mm upstand incorporated into the frame section, giving greater strength and durability to the door frame. This complies with the recommendations of the police Secured by Design initiative.
Entrance frames and sidelights now have glazing platforms designed to accept 24mm double glazed units and 6 degree slopes, which will allow the glazing areas to be drained and ventilated, achieving greater thermal insulation properties and prolonging the life of the sealed unit.
Howarth Windows & Doors door frame, sidelight and entrance frames now have the same Ovolo moulding as used on our window ranges, ensuring they will match perfectly when used in a combination frame.
Part M Access for Disabled People
The sill design allows for the fitting of a mobility threshold to enable compliance with Part M Access for Disabled People.
Fire Check Door Frames
Howarth Windows & Doors fire check door frames are grooved 15mm x 4mm to accept fire and smoke seal. Intumescent strips are not included with the Fire Check door frames as standard and available at an extra cost, supplied loose in 2 metre lengths. Please contact us for details.
