Bradford’s Howarth Timber & Building Supplies branch on Hare Park Lane in Liversedge has further expanded its areas of expertise by appointing a specialist insulation manager.
David Mapplebeck, 35, who lives in Liversedge, joins the business to help local builders and homeowners with all insulation issues, including how to make properties more thermally and acoustically efficient, comply with government legislation, and reduce their consumption of energy.
David is a recognised specialist in building insulation and offers a wealth of knowledge to Howarth’s sales force and customers alike. “Building regulations continue to tighten, and the targets for thermal and acoustic insulation are ever more stringent,” Mr Mapplebeck said. “As the government’s drive for more efficient buildings continues apace, Howarth Timber & Building Supplies is offering this new service to help ensure builders can comply.
“Similarly, as the price of energy rockets, homeowners need to know how they can save money by increasing the thermal efficiency of their homes,” added David. “Howarth can now help them achieve this.”
Alongside David, the branch has also appointed two new sales representatives, part of Howarth’s determination to increase further its share of the timber and building materials market in Bradford and its surrounding towns. 43-year-old Ian Sherman has 15 years’ experience in the timber industry and joins Howarth as a specialist in timber and sheet materials. And 33-year-old Bob Harding from Shipley, who has worked in the building products market for the past decade, has been appointed to help manage the branch’s extensive ranges of heavy side products.
