THE ARC OPENS!

Arc in Bury St Edmonds

 

Howarth Timber Engineering supplied structural timber frame elements to the multi million pound shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds called ‘Arc’. The development includes 62 sustainably constructed apartments installed over the ground floor retail units, and they were a key design feature of the scheme.

Developers were Centros Miller. Howarth worked closely with contractor, Taylor Woodrow and designers, Veretec, to deliver the project.

Howarth Timber Engineering’s MD Roger Smith commented, "This was an interesting and challenging project. One of our factories is just a mile from the site so we were able to pre-assemble and delivery large sections of the roof to reduce time on site.”
