HOWARTH’S SPOIL BURY FOR CHOICE Howarth Timber & Building Supplies based on Bright Street, Bury have undergone major changes in recent months to offer their customers & potential customers a wider variety of products Having changed their name in January this year to illustrate the evolution of the branch and product range, they have also invested £400,000 in the site to develop undercover space and more stock storage. A new 20,000 sq/ft shed has been built within the yard allowing them to introduce a new range of heavy side products to their existing business, extending their product range to include; Bricks & blocks, lintels, block paving, concrete flags, decorative paving, bulk bags of aggregates, fencing & concrete fence posts in a more customer friendly and easily accessible area. Additionally two extra members of staff have been employed to cater for the increased demand and to ensure that all customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently as the range of products available has improved extensively. A one way system now runs through the site also, to ease congestion in the yard. Paul Barton, the branch manager, commented that ‘the improvements will allow our customers to move through the site more efficiently and also offer a one stop shop for all their timber and building supply needs’. Howarth Timber & Building Supplies in Bury is a division of the Howarth Timber Group Ltd, which has been established for over 160 years.
