Timber merchanting is at the heart of our business and most branches carry a large range of planed timber mouldings, pse (Planed Square Edge) sections, quadrants, scotias, skirtings, architraves,door linings,door casings, flooring. Plus a wide variety of other timber lengths, sections and sizes in both structural carcassing and joinery grade materials.
Further machining facilities are also available on most sites so that local branches can provide customers with timber or sheet materials cut to the exact specifications they need.
In addition to specialist timber treatment, milling and machining, our network of 25 branches throughout England also provides a complete timber service to professional tradesmen, major construction companies, self-builders and committed DIY enthusiasts.
However, as our name states, we are not only timber focused, and most branches also now offer a vast array of Building Materials. Blocks, decorative paving, bricks, plaster, plasterboards, sheet materials, Insulation, Velux roof lights, interior doors, exterior doors, architectural ironmongery, mastics, sealants, stains, paints, ironmongery, garden fencing, hardwood mouldings and solid hardwood, engineered and laminate flooring from a wide range of species and with various surface finishes.
Howarth Timber and Building Supplies also manufactures and distributes a wide range of top quality branded and own brand products including timber windows, timber and PVCu conservatories, doors, roof trusses, timber frame panels, garden decking, MDF mouldings and kitchens.
Delivery from stock
Our experienced staff are on hand to offer knowledgeable advice on our extensive range of premium quality products, which are generally available ex-stock for immediate collection or delivery. Delivery to site, with crane off-loading, is available from most of our branches.

Working to a budget
We understand the need to work within a budget and to a pre-determined payment schedule. Account facilities (subject to status) can be opened at any of our branches, enabling you to accurately plan payment schedules for your total build. We also accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), plus Tradepro credit cards.
