Howarth Timber and Building Supplies have a comprehensive range of damp proofing products, which extends to gas barrier protection on brownfield and contamindated construction sites. Visqueen's high performance DPC, Zedex CPT High Performance DPC has set new standards for flexible DPCs. Their Radon protection system comes with BRE Accreditation and they have recently launched our new Sustainable Damp Proofing Membrane: EcoMembrane. Damp Proof Membranes
Water penetration is a prime cause of deterioration in building structures and materials and the presence of excess moisture encourages the growth of moulds and wood rotting fungi. Radon Protection
The 2004 edition of Approved Document C, site preparation and resistance to contaminants and moisture has now been published. The guidance on radon protection has been expanded to include building types other than dwellings (e.g. workplaces) and the requirements have been extended to include developments that involve a material change of use to residential purposes, e.g. barn and warehouse conversions.

HYLOAD ABOVE GROUND - Hyload Insulated DPC & Cavity Closures
Hyload Insulated DPC (previously branded as Ruberclose) is essential in providing damp proofing and meeting building regulations with regard to thermal efficiency. Installed around structural openings such as windows and door reveals, it prevents the occurrence of cold bridging.
Using Hyload Insulated DPCs enables the cavity to be closed in the traditional way, while conforming to the thermal and cold bridging requirements of the building regulations - Approved Document L, NHBC, and BRE guidelines: ‘Thermal insulation; avoiding risks.'
Where fire resistance is a requirement, Hyload FR Insulated DPC achieves a minimum of 30 minutes' resistance.
