Birtley Building Products -Supergalv Lintels
With over 30 years experience in the specification, design and manufacture of steel lintels, Birtley Building Products stands at the forefront of technological change and innovation and are one of the major suppliers of lintels to Howarth Timber and Building Supplies.
At the heart of Birtley's lintel production today is an all-new, fully automated computer controlled manufacturing line that processes the product from raw coil to finished item in a single sequence. This maintains a consistent, precision quality lintel while achieving extraordinary levels of output. The plant was custom designed to Birtley's specification and manufactured by Europe's leading suppliers of metal forming machinery, and this multi-million pound investment underlines the long-term commitment of Birtley to the lintel industry.
Beyond the new automated lintel line lies the state-of-the-art technology built into the company's galvanizing facility, the UK's first fully-automated hot-dip galvanizing plant. Recently commissioned at a cost of over £2.5 million, it incorporates one of the UK's largest galvanizing baths. This computer-controlled facility utilises proven European technology to achieve a level and consistency of quality never before seen in this country, while substantially increasing Birtley's capacity and lowering manufacturing costs allowing Howarth Timber and Building Supplies to provide a quality product at a competative price .

SUPERGALV ARCHFORM
Archform is designed for use in constructing segmental arches in brickwork. A mouldedarch unit, it provides a simple former for the bricklayer and permanent centring for brick arch construction. Combined with good building practice, Archform delivers a structurally sound arch in brick or stone.
Archform is pre-formed in a sandwich system combining a high density polystyrene core with a weather-resistant, high impact HIPS outer shell for improved resistance to UV and oxidative deterioration. The white finish blends well with most window and door finishes.
Archform is available in the sizes listed on the table below . The product is suitable for use in cavity wall, solid wall and timber frame construction.Other Sizes are available to Order.

LINTEL SOFFIT COVER
The 'Supergalv' lintel soffit cover is designed to slip over the front flange of any external wall lintel to provide an aesthetically satisfactory appearance to locations where the front flange of the lintel would be exposed.
The lintel soffit cover is manufactured from UPVC in a range of colours to match the UPVC window frames or artstones heads.
The soffit covers are available in a range of standard lengths, and should be ordered in the next length above the window size. e.g. a 1200mm window, use a 1500mm soffit cover.

Howarth Timber and Building Supplies have had a long relationship with Keystone Lintels since they first came into the UK market back in the early 90's .The recent acquisition of IG has meant that this relationship has now moved on to the next level and we are please to have this range of products in our portfolio and offering .
IG Lintels has over 40 years experience of manufacturing the highest quality building products for house builders and commercial developers. At its site in South Wales, IG designs and manufactures an extensive range of galvanised and stainless steel lintels.
Keystone welcome the addition of IG Lintels and Acier Lintels to the Group, which also includes Keystone Lintels and Keylite Roof Windows. Keystone's mission statement extends throughout the Group; "Keystone does it better... faster!" by providing 'real service' to the construction industry.
