At Howarth Timber & Building Supplies, we offer a variety of nails that are suitable for different roofing jobs. Typically (although not always), Roofing Nails have very sharp tips, as this helps the Nail to drive into the material without splintering the tile.
Clouting Nails are one of the most commonly used types of roofing nail, and are designed to secure roofing tiles and slates.
Spring Head Nails.
If you have a corrugated roof, you will need Spring Head Nails that have a twisted shank which is designed to absorb movement.
Felt Nails are shorter than Clouting Nails, and have a large flat head that is great for ensuring that the felt is kept secure.
We sell Nails in both Copper and Alloy.
