Ironmongery

Ironmongery

Ironmongery

What is Ironmongery?

Ironmongery is hardware that is used in both domestic and commercial environments. They are commonly an essential part of a door or wall offering practicality as well as a finishing touch. Ironmongery is traditionally manufactured from metals such as brass and stainless steel.

Internal Ironmongery

The most commonly used internal ironmongery is door hardware, which is typically everything needed to hang and use the door effectively including:

  • Hinges

  • Door Handles

  • Locks

However, it can also include wall fittings such as shelving components and wall hooks.

External Ironmongery

External ironmongery is a little different from internal ironmongery, as it needs to be robust enough to ensure optimum security is achieved.

In terms of door hardware, external ironmongery tends to focus around the front door with everything that it needs to function effectively whilst preventing both intruders and the elements from penetrating in your home, including:

  • Weather bar

  • Letter Plates

  • Weather resistant hinges

Our range also includes security ironmongery for gates and sheds such as padlocks and heavy tee hinges.
