What is a U-value for windows?
A u-value means the thermal transmittance of a roof window. The U-value measures the amount of energy/heat lost through a square metre of that material for every degree difference in temperature between the inside and the outside. The lower the U-Factor, the better the window insulates.
The ventilation bars on all roof windows lets fresh air into your home even when roof windows are closed. Each window has an easy cleaning feature on the outside of the pane with a built-in barrel bolt.
All VELUX roof windows come with grey aluminium exterior covers as standard.
