Measuring your kitchen is really simple and allows us to offer you a quote straight away. Here are a few tips to help ensure that you include all of the areas you might have forgotten:
- Start by drawing a rough outline of your kitchen, to create a floor plan. Make sure you identify the locations of doors, windows, boilers, radiators and utility meters that the new kitchen will need to work around.
- Measure the entire room, including windows, the positions of all doors (including back doors and doors into other rooms of your home) and the height of your ceiling. Write these measurements in the correct places on your floor plan.
- Don’t forget to measure the height of window cills, especially if you have any low sitting windows. This ensures that you don’t purchase a kitchen that will block or obscure the windows.
- It doesn’t matter whether you choose to take measurements in millimetres, centimetres or feet, as long as you ensure that all of your dimensions are in the same format throughout. This helps to prevent errors and confusion.
Nevertheless, please remember that your measurements do not have to be accurate to the millimetre. Once you have purchased your kitchen, we will always come and double check the measurements.
Kitchens will be delivered usually within 2/3 weeks. However, Paint to Order kitchens from our Autograph range take longer, with delivery taking around 4 – 6 weeks. These take longer as the kitchen will be specifically painted for your order; to your specifications.
A delivery week will be agreed with your designer once your order has been placed, and our supplier will contact you 10 days before your expected delivery weeks to confirm a more accurate day, as well as a time slot.
Kitchen Furniture will be delivered direct from the supplier; they do not use 3rd party couriers. The delivery will arrive on the date and during the time slot that will have been agreed 10 days beforehand. Two delivery persons will offload your kitchen and place it neatly in your property, with each item being individually scanned both onto and off the delivery wagon to ensure that you receive your complete order.
Other kitchen items, including appliances and some worktops will be delivered by your local branch on the same day that your furniture is delivered. This ensures that everything can be installed together.
We deal with many suppliers who supply a variety of worktops to suit your style and budget, including:
