At Howarth At Home, we firmly believe that our Kitchen Designers are the driving force of our showrooms. So, getting to know them is a crucial part of ensuring that your kitchen purchasing experience is an easy one.
This month we’re talking to the Kitchen Designer from our flagship Kitchen Studio, located in Barrowford; Paul Parker.
All about the Job:
How did you get started in this career?
I have always in some way been in the kitchen industry since leaving school. From installing them to cooking in them. I wanted to do something different and I was given the opportunity to have some training and from that I was offered a more permanent role. I loved it from the day I started.
How long have you been in this career?
I would say 7 years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The interaction with customers. Every kitchen and customer are different so it is like starting a new job every day.
Which is your favourite kitchen range, and why?
I have gone towards the Laura Ashley Harwood in the Anthracite. This is quite simply because it is “stunning”. This range gives you a homely feel. I love it.
What one piece of advice would you give someone thinking about buying a kitchen?
To take their time and use me for as much information and advice as they need.
Getting to Know You:
Who or what inspires you?
The need to please people and always wanting to better myself.
Which is your favourite place in the world?
What was the last film or TV series you watched?
Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Very good!
The most important question:
Is it a cob, bun, bread cake or something else entirely?
Ha ha, it’s a Barm!
