Flues

Quite simply, a Flue is a duct that connects at the top of your domestic boiler to a wall, with the main aim being to allow toxic gases to be quickly removed from the building. Ventilation is crucial, so as to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, therefore it is crucial to ensure that your Flue is in excellent working condition and is regularly inspected (this will normally take place during your annual Boiler inspection).

Most modern boilers are fitted on to, or close to an exterior wall making a Flue the most practical form of ventilations.
