Pliers and Cutters are useful tools to have, because you never know when you might need them. However, whilst similar in basic design, they both serve very different purposes.
Pliers are most commonly used to hold objects in place, usually whilst something else is being done. However, they are sometimes used to compress and/or bend objects and materials.
Cutters on the other hand are used to cut materials. The most popular types of Cutter include Bolt Cutters and Snips.
Bolt Cutters have long forged handle that give the user leverage to cut through thick and tough materials, such as bolts, chains and even padlocks.
On the other hand, Snips are generally used to cut/trim sheet material, such as Tin.
