The origins of Howarth Timber can be found in the 1840's when the company started trading under the name of Hudson & Co. Over the years the company has grown and expanded from one-man to involving over 1000 employees.In 1974 Hudson & Co and all the other businesses that had been purchased over the years came under the name of Howarth Timber Group Ltd. Over the years Howarth has been committed to worldwide environmental policies and were a founder member of the Forests Forever Campaign encouraging the use of sustainable resources.
