Lay your deck boards with a 5-8mm gap between adjacent boards. Where boards abut a post allow 5mm; where board ends meet allow 2mm and 10mm for when boards abut a building. Timber decking has gone through a machine which creates a smooths finish to the faces and sides of the board. This operation uniforms the finished size which will usually be 5mm less than stated on both the face and width.

All our timber has full chain of custody, meaning our timber is sourced responsibly. It is kiln dried to minimise moisture content and improve strength and stability.
