Why should you choose hardwood over softwood or MDF alternatives?

  • Durability: Hardwood timber comes from slower growing trees than softwood, producing a more complex makeup which is naturally stronger and durable enough to be a long-lasting solution that can handle knocks and scrapes. It is particularly desirable in homes with pets and/or children.
  • Environmentally friendly & sustainable: Hardwood timber derives from a natural and renewable source. It has a low carbon footprint where production uses less energy than the production process of other materials. The lengthy growth process of the trees pulls toxic co2 gases out of the atmosphere and stores them. All our high-quality hardwood timbers are purchased from sustainable sources.
  • Weather resistant: Hardwood is the perfect choice for external applications such as timber cladding boards and weather bars for exterior doors, due to its strong resilience against the elements.
