C16 graded carcassing is a structural timber commonly used for stud walls, roof and floor joists, and structural joinery. C16 is normally the grade that is produced from faster grown UK timber. However, this C16 timber is imported and therefore is slow grown. It is machined to have rounded edges, smooth faces, and sides, for a more uniform piece of timber. It is kiln dried to minimise moisture content and improve strength and stability. The finished size you will receive is 70mm x 220mm.
Regularised timber has gone through a machine which rounds the edges and smooths the faces and sides of the piece. This operation uniforms the finished size which will usually be 5mm less than stated on both the face and width.
Please note: Timber and stone are natural materials, and as such, variation in colour, texture, and natural markings is to be expected. We strive to represent our products as accurately as possible through imagery; however, colours and shades may appear differently depending on individual monitor settings such as brightness, temperature, and contrast. These variations are not considered defects.
