C16 graded carcassing is a structural timber commonly used for stud walls, roof and floor joists, and structural joinery. C16 is normally the grade that is produced from faster grown UK timber. It is machined to have rounded edges, smooth faces, and sides, for a more uniform piece of timber. It is kiln dried to minimise moisture content and improve strength and stability.
Pressure treatment has been applied with preservatives to improve rotting resistance and protect the carcassing. Timber classification UC2 is for the treatment, meaning it is for internal use only, making it perfect for internal framing or studwork.
Main usage is for this C16 carcasssing timber is for vertical non-load bearing stud positions.
This C16 timber piece is imported, meaning it is slow grown.
Please note: Timber and stone are natural materials, and as such, variation in colour, texture, and natural markings is to be expected. We strive to represent our products as accurately as possible through imagery; however, colours and shades may appear differently depending on individual monitor settings such as brightness, temperature, and contrast. These variations are not considered defects.
