Due to the size of this 3x2 C16 graded timber carcassing, we recommended using it purely for vertical non-load bearing stud positions.
C16 Timber Joists, expertly crafted for those who seek durability and reliability in construction projects. These UC3u treated, kiln-dried, and regularised joists are designed for external use, making them ideal for various outdoor applications including pegolas and garden structures. UC3u is not recommended for a raised decking, as it is not treated for ground contact and moisture can travel, always use UC4 joists for decking joists. Alternatively, these are ideal for indoor applications such as internal structural joists and rafters.
The regularisation process ensures uniformity in size, giving a smooth, polished finish that enhances both the look and structural integrity of your projects.
Carcassing is a generic trade term which refers to the use of a species of timber. Spruce/Pine and Fir are used to form floors, walls, ceilings and roofs of properties for example.
