Canadian Lumber Standard (CLS) is a structural timber available in a variety of sections and lengths most commonly used in construction. CLS is PAR or Planed All Round, meaning it has gone through a machine which rounds the edges and smooths the faces and sides of the piece, this offers exception easier handling. This operation uniforms the finished size which will usually be 5mm less than stated on both the face and width.

All our timber has full chain of custody, meaning our timber is sourced responsibly. It is kiln dried to minimise moisture content and improve strength and stability.

Both CLS and Scant are sturdy manufactured timber lengths for uses including partitions, internal studding and framing. Scant is planed with square edges rather than the rounded edges seen on CLS timber. These CLS timber boards are C16 graded, however CLS grading are typically used in a vertical axis and stud walls are by nature none load bearing.

Our CLS timber is manufactured from high-quality softwoods, typically including Spruce, European Redwood, or Whitewood. While the exact species may vary between batches, what never changes is our commitment to delivering consistently reliable, durable, and sustainably sourced timber products.
