Expamet Stainless Coils are expanded mesh bed joint reinforcement supplied as a 20m coil, 65mm wide, for use within masonry mortar beds. They are used to help control cracking in brickwork and blockwork, particularly around high-stress areas such as openings.
Installation requires the mesh to be fully bedded and covered in fresh mortar before the next course is laid. Ends should be overlapped by 75mm, and it is used at up to 225mm vertical centres, projecting 600mm beyond jambs.
