Glass wool insulation is made up of a combination of natural glass and recycled glass, melted down and converted into glass fibres. Stone wool

Stone wool insulation is made by melting rock (at around 1600°C) and then spinning it to create fibres. PIR Boards

PIR (Polyisocyanurate) boards are a stiff thermal insulation, produced by turning plastic into a foam. The foam is manufactured using a chemical reaction to create a closed cell structure that traps a gas. The gas found in these cells conducts less heat than still air, making it one of the most thermally high-performance insulators available. This type of insulation is suitable for walls, floors and loft spaces.
