The Rockwool Sound Insulation Slab is designed to be used to reduce noise between rooms in a building and between connecting properties. A solution to helps create quiet, peaceful and comfortable spaces in residential and commercial environments. It does this by dampening vibration-based noise as it travels through structures, whilst reducing sound waves as they transmit through the air. The slab is ideal for placing in the floor, as well as both internal and separating walls. Manufactured from stone wool, the slab is non-combustible allowing it to act as a barrier to fire; being able to withstand temperatures of over 1,000°C, whilst not emitting any toxic smoke. Installation of ROCKWOOL Sound Slab is made quick and easy with the patented FLEXI Edge®, which enables friction fitting without the need for cutting, and without leaving performance sapping gaps. The durability and dimensional stability of stone wool means that ROCKWOOL insulation stays firmly in place without support.
