About this product...

Ungraded timber means it is neither C16 nor C24 graded, it can only be used for non-load bearing applications. This makes it ideal for general-purpose uses such as shelving, boxing in, panelling, planters, compost bins, small tool stores, DIY joinery, and craft or hobby projects. Ungraded timber is also commonly used for lighter duty tasks, including non-load bearing floor joists, beams, rafters, ceiling joists and wall studding.

Carcassing is a generic trade term which refers to the use of a species of timber. Spruce/Pine and Fir are used to form floors, walls, ceilings and roofs of properties for example. Imported C16 timber, therefore comes from is slow grown wood

The UC2 treatment further ensures suitability for indoor applications where damp conditions might be present, making it a versatile and practical choice for builders and DIY enthusiasts alike.

All our timber has full chain of custody, meaning our timber is sourced responsibly. It is kiln dried to minimise moisture content and improve strength and stability.

Regularised timber has gone through a machine which rounds the edges and smooths the faces and sides of the piece. This operation uniforms the finished size which will usually be 5mm less than stated on both the face and width.

Please note: Timber and stone are natural materials, and as such, variation in colour, texture, and natural markings is to be expected. We strive to represent our products as accurately as possible through imagery; however, colours and shades may appear differently depending on individual monitor settings such as brightness, temperature, and contrast. These variations are not considered defects.
