About this product...

Scant is a structural timber available in a variety of sections and lengths most used in construction, mainly used for internal construction timbers within the building envelope, tiling batten, framing and roof timbers, internal joists, sole pates. Scant is planed with square edges rather than the rounded edges seen on CLS timber.

Scant does feature machine planed surfaces which smooths the faces and sides of the piece, this offers exception easier handling. This operation uniforms the finished size which will usually be 5mm less than stated on both the face and width.

All our timber has full chain of custody, meaning our timber is sourced responsibly. It is kiln dried to minimise moisture content and improve strength and stability.

Our CLS timber is manufactured from high-quality softwoods, typically including Spruce, European Redwood, or Whitewood. While the exact species may vary between batches, what never changes is our commitment to delivering consistently reliable, durable, and sustainably sourced timber products.

With responsible sourcing at the heart of what we do, you can trust that our timber meets strict sustainability standards giving you confidence in both the quality of your materials and the environmental impact of your choice.

Please note: Timber and stone are natural materials, and as such, variation in colour, texture, and natural markings is to be expected. We strive to represent our products as accurately as possible through imagery; however, colours and shades may appear differently depending on individual monitor settings such as brightness, temperature, and contrast. These variations are not considered defects.
