Foams
Expanding foam is used for plugging gaps, stopping draughts, adding insulation and dampening sound and is sometimes know as insulation foam. Expanding Foam is designed to fix holes of almost any size, from really small ones to particularly large holes, as the foam is capable of expanding up to twice its original size.
It can be used on a variety of surfaces, such as Wood, Glass, Masonry and Metal, and once applied, the expanding foams usually take one hour to dry. Once it has fully dried, the foam can then be sanded, plastered, cut and painted to give a smooth finish.
Specific expanding foams can be waterproof with some designed for the sole purpose of providing a barrier in ponds, fountains and other water features.
