Planed Square Edge (PSE) Timber is manufactured from Scandinavian Redwood producing a high-quality expectational stable piece of timber. The timber is produced from slow-grown trees for over 60 years, which reduces the likelihood of splitting or twisting. 

Premium planed square-edge board designed for long-lasting outdoor performance. Smooth-finished for a clean, refined look while offering strength for structural and fencing applications. UC4 pressure treatment provides enhanced protection for in-ground use, making it ideal for garden builds, boundaries and landscaping projects.

Scandinavian Joinery Redwood naturally repels insects and does not need to be treated with chemicals for protection against them. The distinctive timber is easily identifiable by it’s knots and markings. It’s sturdiness makes it ideal for interior joinery, skirting, furniture, and construction.

The timber will go through a cutting, grading and kiln drying process at the mill. The finished size refers to the wood that has been machined (a process/ that involves a series of sharp cutters spinning at high speeds over the wood to shave it down to a smoother, more uniform dimension that is more appealing). Please note finished sizes are approximately 5-6mm smaller than nominal sizes. 

Our planed square edge timber is machined, to make it ideal for internal joinery that requires a smooth, neat edge. The superior finish and it’s great use versatility make it perfect for a range of uses where the finished appearance is important, such as furniture building.
