Sawn pressure treated softwood timber ideal framing timber for a multitude of end uses in the home or around the garden.

UC3u Treatment Class

Crafted from UC3u treated timber, these provide robust protection against rot and decay. Ideally suited for above-ground outdoor applications such as constructing pergolas and garden structures. UC3u is not recommended for a raised decking, as it is not treated for ground contact and moisture can travel, always use UC4 joists for decking joists. Alternatively, these are ideal for indoor applications such as internal structural joists and rafters.

Unseasoned Timber

This means the timber has not yet dried to a moisture content matched to its intended environment, which means it can still be used for for purpose. However you need to be aware of any shrinkage that may occur.

Ungraded Timber

This timber is neither C16 nor C24 graded, it can only be used for non-load bearing applications. This makes it ideal for general-purpose uses such as shelving, boxing-in, panelling, planters, compost bins, small tool stores, DIY joinery, and craft or hobby projects. Ungraded timber is also commonly used for lighter duty tasks, including non-load bearing floor joists, beams, rafters, ceiling joists and wall studding.

Carcassing

A generic trade term which refers to the use of a species of timber. Spruce/Pine and Fir are used to form floors, walls, ceilings and roofs of properties for example.

Chain of Custody

All our timber has full chain of custody, meaning our timber is sourced responsibly.
