Plywood (also known as veneer) can withstand hazardous conditions whilst maintaining an attractive surface appearance. Available in both hardwood and softwood options, with a range of glue types for interior and exterior conditions.
All plywood must have exposed edges sealed immediately when used externally and both faces must be sealed with an appropriate weather proof barrier.
Structural plywood or CE2+ is best used in any of the following instances; floor decking, wall sheathing, flat roofing, concrete framework and external cladding.
Marine was developed for ship/boat building and has a very high performance under severe exposure conditions. Marine ply is commonly used in construction where a very high performance is required and proves most cost-effective.
