Branch Manager
The Ashton Branch of Howarth Timber & Building Supplies is led by Tom Howe, who has been part of the Howarth Timber team for almost 9 years. He began his journey with the company as Shop Manager at the Ashton branch, having transitioned from a nearly decade-long career at B&Q in pursuit of a move into the trade sector. His dedication and drive soon led to his first Branch Manager role at the Manchester branch. After 2 successful years there, he went on to manage the Sale branch for three years before returning to Ashton in June - bringing his journey full circle back to where it all began.
The Ashton branch provides a wide range of services to both trade professionals and the public. These include a cutting service, brick matching, and a large offering of heavyside materials and timber. The branch operates a variety of delivery vehicles, including 26T and 18T HIAB lorries and a 3.5T pickup for smaller jobs. Ashton also supplies I-joists, block and beam systems, and roof trusses.
Customers benefit from a dedicated plumbing counter, a spacious showroom for doors and flooring, and a comprehensive roofing selection including GRP and rubber roofing. Additional support includes a knowledgeable external sales representative, Proquant estimating services, and direct-to-site deliveries for large orders. Tom is committed to delivering outstanding service and expert advice, ensuring customers receive the best possible experience and solutions for their building needs.
