Stair Parts

Stair parts are in integral part of every multistorey property. Whether you are installing a completely new staircase or repairing an already existing one, choosing the right parts for stairs is very important. Staircase parts are just as important as the actual fitting of the stairs because they offer support to the overall structure of the staircase design, whilst ensuring that everyone using the stairs is safe.

At Howarth, we offer a wide range of components for oak stairs, wooden stairs and more, such as:

Spindles, which are timber posts positioned vertically between the handrail and base rail, creating a skeleton effect that offers extra support to the banister structure whilst being an attractive addition.

Handrails can also be purchased from us, they are the part that many of us will hold on to when we ascend or descend a staircase. They essentially run diagonally along with the pitch of your stairs, sitting comfortably above the spindles.

Newels are located at the top and bottom of your staircase banister, and offer structural support for the handrail, ensuring that it is secure. An important part of the structure, newel caps are often chosen as decorative focal points for your stairs.

Our stair parts are available in a variety of options, including pine and oak, which are ready to paint or stain as you wish. We also have a range of white primed options.
