Feather Edge Boards

Feather edge boards, sometimes referred to as Closeboard Fencing, are single boards placed vertically, with each board overlapping the board beside it. This creates a length of fencing around the area you are working with. Feather edge fence boards are an ideal solution if you have an awkward space, or you can’t find a fence panel to fit.

The closed design created by overlapping the boards ensures that there are no gaps, providing your property with excellent privacy levels. The lack of gaps also helps to ensure that pets are prevented from escaping, whilst other animals are kept out.

Both sides of this style of fencing are identical, making them an ideal choice if you are creating a boundary between a neighbouring property, as it allows both homeowners to have the “nice side” of the fencing visible.

The feather edge fence boards are installed individually making it is easier to repair any single boards that become damaged without having to purchase an entire length of fencing.

Feather edge boards are available from Howarth in brown treated and green treated options. Treated fence boards are protected against rot and decay, however we always recommend regular treatments. Our most popular sizes of feather edge boards are:

  • 22mm x 100mm x 1.8m
  • 22mm x 125mm x 1.8m
  • 22mm x 125mm x 2.4m
  • 22mm x 150mm x 1.8m
