This Elka Engineered Autumn Oak Hardwood flooring is a fumed product which means that the darkness of the wood is dependent on the tannin content - the tannin content depends on the origin of the oak. With this floor being fumed it also means this gives you more colour variation than a stain would, but the tone is far warmer which highlights character and helps bring nature into your home. The grading on this floor is B/C/D/E which means this is smoked and oiled. There are also sunken knots and cracks in the wood of the floor.
