Unfinished white oak newel base, 90 x 90 x 700mm. Richard Burbidge's high-quality newel base comes unfinished, ready for varnishing and other finishing touches. The newel foundation is suitable for installing a newel post in the middle (may be required if your stairs are longer than 2400mm). It's possible to use this to replace your existing newel, but double-check first because most newel posts at the bottom and top of your stairs are structurally important.
