Door casings are ornamental trimmings that also provide support for hanging and maintaining an entranceway in place. They come with a timber stop already installed to prevent swing-through, saving you time from having to install one individually.
Internal Door Casing or Door Linings are designed to hang an internal door. A door casing usually includes a Jamb/Lining with a Stop already routed into the board. Whereas, a Door Lining requires a door stop adding.
Lining or Casings usually come with two elements: a leg; the long strip that run the full height of the door, and the head; the top of the frame and connects the two legs.
